But the modern world has helped us remove some of the barriers.  And dare I say some of the potential embarrassment? People no longer need to travel long distances for a psychic reading or drive around town looking for that shop with the Palm Reader sign in the window. You can get a psychic reading in the comfort of your own home and choose from a number of potential readers to find the one right for you.

Now, the exact process of an online reading can be as varied as a real world reading. But the internet has made online readings affordable and personal. No, I'm not talking about a "daily personalized horoscope" delivered to your inbox or those online programs that pick a tarot card for you and tell you what the card means. (Though I do love those.)  I'm talking about sitting down with a real person who you talk with through a chat program or the phone.  A person who you can ask questions and who will work with you as a person to help you find answers.
